Tiss a dark night out tonight. The thick clouds of radiation cover the skies, blocking most of the moon. I woke out of my sleep to a sound of something that I have never heard before. This wasn't any ordinary creature, no Stalker, no man, but a new beast. He was close, but still a far distance away. I rolled over with my rifle clenched and my finger on the trigger. I remove the cap of my night-vision scope and peer through the darkness. I see nothing, but hear everything. I can hear it getting closer by the minute. I can hear it breathing, and then nothing. Like it came, it left, without a sound. I could hear my fire crackling. I fell back asleep to the sound of the fire. I woke at the break of dawn and started breakfast. I had to hurry because every second I stay I lose a minute of daylight. Daylight is precious, for then you can see your opponent without being unaware of his position. Something so huge, something so fearsome, something of this enorminity can't hide. Even still it puts you at even greater of danger. The fear of another stalker spotting you and trying to kill you in fear of you being a beast, or even worse, the fear of living to the point that you see no end. Walking into a valley and seeing everyone's end but yourself. So I hurry. After I ate my small breakfast I begin once again on my never-ending journey.

After walking about 3 and half hours, I stopped to rest. No sooner than I put my backpack down I see something walking on the horizon. I reach into my pack and pull out a pair of binoculars. It's a man, a Stalker. I reach into my pack once more and pull out a flare gun. I shot straight up in hope he would see it. He saw it all right, and started shooting at me. I waved trying to get his attention and make him stop. He continued to fire pun me, walking towards me with each shot. I had no choice; I reached into my pack and pulled out a long tube. I reached inside and pulled out a scope and mounted it on my rifle. I took aim and put a single round through his arm, immobilizing him. I get up on him and he blinks. «What the…. can it be?.. I couldn't make out your figure from such range and fired in fright of my life, I am sorry brother» says the man lying on the ground. I look at him and held out my arm. I helped him back to my camp. There I treated him and bandaged his wounds. I couldn't afford his loss; he is one more gun, one to help me stay alive. I start a fire and put on some coffee. «What's your name!» I asked. «Uhh…I……I..can't remember. The last thing I can remember was getting attacked by a beast, I was slung around like a rag doll. My head hit a rock so hard I was knocked unconscious. Now I can't remember a thing beyond that point!» I could tell by his clothes that he was indeed a Stalker. With whom I had no idea. You see, Stalkers are part of groups, guilds, and clans. They make up their own rules and never play by the book. I know nothing of this man. He could be a nemesis of mine, or a friend, a brother in arms fighting for a common goal. So when he asked my name I said I have none. I am but a Stalker out on the run, just like he was. We decided to stay the night at our current position.

The next morning startled both of us. We woke to the noise of helicopters and armored personnel carriers. We were closer to the zone border than we thought. We stayed low and snuck out of sight. We went out in search of clean water. We came up on a small town in ashes. Everything seemed to be in ashes since the explosion. We searched through everything and finally we found a small hidden bunker. When we got in, two scientists welcomed us. They gave us water, or so we thought and sent us on our way. There was something funny about the water I got. A few days had past, and my companion stated how weird I had been acting. I had been hallucinating. It was getting late so we stopped for the night. I remember falling asleep, then nothing. By the time I woke up, a week had past. My companion had carried me to the nearest Stalker held stronghold. I could hear allot of gunfire and mortar shells going off. When I opened my eyes, I saw what I thought was an angel. She had long blonde hair pinned up in the back. She was wearing white and I thought I could see wings. She called for a doctor and then I realized my worse fear, I was still alive. She was no angel but a nurse helping me stay alive to suffer more pain. I jumped up and grabbed my rifle and backpack. I rushed out and saw the battle. From what I could see, through all the smoke and fog, the whole zone was filled with corpses and blood. And still more beats and zombies came. We fought long and hard. Still unable to hold off the evil beasts. We had to pull back. Then, all a sudden, I heard that sound again. The sound I heard that night, that made me twitch. It couldn't be. Out of the forest I saw this huge creature running after me. It did not care even for its own kind. It killed many beasts trying to get me. I turned in fear and started to run. He was no more than 20 feet behind me. My boot's caught a hole in the ground and I tripped. I rolled over and saw the creature lunging at me…
