Sergey staired at the blue light radiated from the collapsed factory. It was some type of factory that was basically totally destroyed, debris was everywhere. The only thing that was there were two gigantic thick walls opposite of each other. On one wall was some type of a logo, he couldn„t make it out though. The walls had a weathered out color. There were some smaller buildings scattered around, some were heavily damaged, others just broken windows. No building was near the factory within a 80 yard radius. The blue light was mesmerizing. Sergey was about 100 metres away, and didn„t feel any need to get closer.

Earlier his detector warned of a very strong magnetic field. Sergey decided to shut down any highly complex electrical systems he thought he wouldn„t“ need at the moment, basically the only thing he turned off was the computer in his helm. He shivered and realized that he was freezing. It was morning and Sergey just wanted the sun to come out. He could see it was already shining on the tall hill he just came down off of. God he wished the sun could go a little faster and shine on him. He took out his camera and began making snapshots of the blue light. He turned to different spectrums, radio, infrared, visible, UV, and finally Xray. Putting down his camera he decided to turn on his helmet, he really wanted to get some more data. He began analyzing the frequency of electromagnetic radiation, magnetic forces, gravitation forces, and such and such. He had a small eyepeace he could look through onto an LCD screen. As he graphed each he got a huge chaos of waves that looked nothing like eachother. Didn„t tell him much.

He could feel the warm glow of the sun. He looked at a patch of grass, glistening from the morning dew. He looked out at the light again, it was kinda funny. He remembered pictures in his physics book of magnets with iron filings on them and the curved patterns the filings made. As he looked at the light he realized he was seeing the same thing, scraps of metal were curved in odd directions and he realized they were showing him the vectors of the force. He also noted that all the pieces of metal were jittering, very fast. Some of the scraps of metal were even obviously bent to the force of the resonance.

He caught glimpse of a crow in flight and something odd began to happen. The crow began to slow down, and speed up, and slow down even more, and speed up. Something was not right. He looked at his graph, the frequencies were all beginning to align. The waves on his graph began to merge and became very large. He looked at the crow again, it looked frozen in time, and slowly it speeded up, to a very high speed. He realized he was beginning to feel gravitational pulses pulling on him too. He began to make out a very low bass noise, and realized the ground he was standing on was vibrating. Everything was vibrating. Suddenly the LCD screen went black.

«BLYAT»

Sergey tried resetting his helm, nothing happened. The ground was vibrating violently now. Sergey looked up at the light and suddenly everything began to deform. Everything he could see was smudged into the center of the blue light were Sergey made out a blackness, but not quite a point, more of a ring. This happened in fractions of a second, darkness….

He stopped behind some thorned bushes peering into the distance. It was 5:00 and dark. Clouds now covered the sky. He took off his pack and unzipped it taking out binoculars. Russian optics were always the best, they lasted long and were very good quality. He zoomed onto a great tree in the distance and turned on thermal imaging. Scanning the area he saw 3 bright outlines in an opening.

Sergey stopped, Something was incredibly wrong.
Sergey shivered, and not from the cold. He looked around, Everything was wrong, just everything. It was like a splinter in his mind he couldn„t pull out. Then it began to come to him. Everything deforming into a single black point. Sergey was startled by the starting of an engine. He looked back through his binoculars. The 3 bright outlines were soldiers he realized, and they were leaving.
Then everything came back to him. He was on a mission to go to the pulsing signal. It was a blue light and something very strange happened, and now he was here. Where was here? He looked around, and saw a very familiar trail, this was the trail he always took! Now he knew where he was, this was the outpost with the 3 soldiers, which just left.

But everything looked wrong, as if someone tried to recreate the area and didn„t quite know what it actually looked like. He came up to the fence he had bin on earlier and climbed over it and cautiously jogged down the trail. Then he came to the small clearing where he snipered the soldiers.

Sergey froze,
there were 5 soldiers, gathered around a table. Sergey tried to recall killing them, and vividly remembered it. That was it, Sergey had it, he decided to sit down and figure out what the hell was going on. He remembered everything deforming and then a black point, no, a black ring. Sergey took courses in theoretical physics and relativity. This reminded him immediately of things having to do with speed of light and black holes. He looked up, one of the soldiers was going up to the truck, this was exactly when he began snipering them just an hour ago. But instead of the soldier falling face first with a hole in his head, he opened the door, got some cards, and went back to the table. Sergey thought for a moment and tried to remember about black holes. It all began coming back to him. Einstein„s good old theories. Space and Time were the same thing. Gravity is a curvature of space, obviously also affecting time. Then he remembered reading some junk about how a blackhole that has taken the shape of a ring could be used as a means of time traveling. What the hell was he thinking? THIS IS STUPID.

«shto za chertavshina», muttering so loudly the soldiers all twisted his way, but he didn„t care, this was obviously a dream, his mind was playing tricks on him. He stood up and began walking toward the soldiers.

«ASTONOVIS!» one of the soldiers shouted holding up his ak47. Suddenly a something leaped onto the soldier and began ripping at his flesh. Sergey stopped, and decided it was wiser to observe a little more. He backed up and laid down behind a rock peeking at what was happening. He realized it was the dogs, they overtook the soldiers in their numbers and began to eat hungrily. They weren„t as savage as he thought they were. They seemed to walk around with pride, and shared with the rest of the pack. He remembered scaring the dogs with fire.

No, this had to be a dream. And then, finally, it got to him. That terrible smell, the smell of dried blood, rotting flesh, and vomit. Sergey finally realized this was all very real and Sergey felt very alone in this moment of time. He looked at his watch, 5:30, when he first saw the blue light he remembered recording 5:56. Sergey began to wonder if the entire universe had just gone and hour back. Then another thing struck him, if time had gone 1 hour back, how did he remember the mysterious event in the first place? He looked at his suit, and smiled, Sasha kept telling him this thing would save him one of these days.
SNAP
Sergey twirled around at the same time reaching for his gun. It was a zombie and he shot it with his muffled handgun right above the left eye. As it fell to the ground he came up to it and observed it. It was a soldier, and a familiar one.

It struck Sergey that he didn„t pay much attention to his surroundings right after the anomaly. He remembered the first time observing 4 heat sources; 3 soldiers, and 1 pile of bodies he discovered when checking the electric fence. After the weird anomaly, he only saw 3 heat sources. Obviously the area farther away from the resonance was affected differently, the pile of bodies was taken over by controllers and…

Sergey„s mind took a swerve. He began to think very happy thoughts. He remembered a time when he was 7 and he and his friend swirled around a tree until they were dizzy. He saw a tree that looked like it and decided to go toward it. It was a pretty tree he thought.

Sergey stopped, realizing he had to act fast. He looked around until he spotted it. It was running away realizing it had failed. Sergey raised his gun to the creature. The muffled sound of sergeys gun was quite pleasing. Coming up to the controller he could of sworn the thing was smiling at him, GOD he hated controllers. He now organized his thoughts into simple most do„s. The first thing on his mind was to go back to the resonance. He was determined to learn more about this overwhelming event. Looking ahead he could make out the mesmerizing light was still there, even though it was broad daylight. And now, because it was near afternoon and not morning, Sergey felt more odd and twisted than he could of ever imagined.
